Being able to learn from Katia in her Ayurvedic Doula course was such an honor. She approaches teaching with so much love, respect, and care and it translates into classes that are engaging and inspiring.
The course content was well paced, digestible, and highly applicable.
In addition to the actual material, Katia’s ability to hold a safe container for learning, growing, and exploring Ayurvedic care was invaluable. Her nurturing presence not only created a sense of community but allowed us to deeply immerse ourselves into these ancient teachings.
I am so inspired and excited to incorporate Katia’s teaching into my own life, as well as into the care I offer to new mamas. I can’t wait for more opportunities to deepen my Ayurvedic knowledge with this wise woman!

“Katia is extremely knowledgeable in all things Ayurveda. Her classes feel like a real departure from the patriarchal, academic way of learning and instead the information is conveyed in a far more holistic and feminine way. Also, the class on womb massage felt life changing in and of itself...I highly recommend!”
I loved the Ayuredic Doula training with Katia. Her teaching style honors Ayurvedic oral traditions as well as other ancestral and communal wisdom. Her classes feel like a real departure from the patriarchal, academic way of learning and instead the information is conveyed in a far more holistic and feminine way.
Katia is also extremely knowledgeable in all things Ayurveda and she has an answer or line of thought for every question you could possibly pose.
I left the training feeling like I had access to a new healing modality/philosophy to offer my clients and myself. I also left with an increased curiosity to learn more about Ayurveda in general. Also, the class on womb massage felt life changing in and of itself...I highly recommend!

A glimpse into my work and teaching.
Why Ayurveda for the Birthing Continuum?
Ayurveda is an ancient holistic medical system that originated in India over 5,000 years ago. Like any medical system, it has a clear, documented way of understanding the body, both physically and psychologically. Known as the science of life, Ayurveda teaches that the elements that exist in nature, also exist in us, and play an important role in maintaining the health of our bodies and minds. Ayurveda offers a profound approach to preconception care, pregnancy & birth support, and tending to postpartum, full of ancient wisdom and love.
Ayurveda for Postpartum Healing
The wisdom of how to support mamas and new families has been forgotten, in our modern culture the word postpartum is synonymous with postpartum depression and many of the disorders that arise are actually a symptom of lack of support and dishonoring of the motherbaby dyad. Ayurveda recognizes postpartum as a time when the mothers health and physiology is as delicate as her newborn baby. Ayurveda offers a profound approach to supporting the physical body to heal and rejuvenate after birth. With the right support, postpartum can be an incredibly healing time. The postpartum window requires a specific container of trust and nourishment to hold the newborn parents as they transform. Respecting and centering the motherbaby dyad opens up possibilities to heal generational trauma.
The health of this world begins with nourished mothers and thriving families.
